Mercury named preferred bidder in North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus tender

An agency benefiting from extensive expertise in health marketing has won a four-way pitch to produce a basic marketing toolkit for the organisation responsible for health and adult social care services in North East Lincolnshire.

Mercury’s East Yorkshire office submitted a tender for the North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus work after the trust circulated a brief asking for concepts for a simple toolkit containing templates for collateral such as leaflets and posters that it uses to communicate with its staff, stakeholders and the 170,000 residents it serves in the Immingham, Grimsby and Cleethorpes area.

Andrew Acum, senior consultant, led on the tender and was delighted to find out that Mercury was selected as one of four agencies shortlisted to pitch to a panel of the Trust’s directors and non-executives.

Andrew, who has worked on a wide variety of health marketing projects over the course of his 15-year career, which has seen him planning advertising accounts at the likes of global agency Saatchi and Saatchi, delivered the pitch. Meanwhile, Paul Burnett, Mercury’s design studio manager, produced an appealing design concept that he felt would work well across the toolkit.

Andrew said: “Mercury’s ability to develop such creative concepts with a value for money approach ensures we continue to be successful in the public sector, which is looking to deliver cost efficiency now more than ever before. This is an approach mirrored in many of our recent account wins. Paul will produce a very straightforward toolkit that the Trust can use in-house and which will ensure it has a sustainable, long-term solution across its communications activities.”
