25 Feb Mercury appointed by Carolyn Burgess to provide marketing and PR
A thriving new Yorkshire-based marketing, PR and design agency is celebrating after being awarded a high profile account.
Mercury Design & Marketing Ltd has announced its new partnership with an award-winning Howden-based interpreting and translation company.
Carolyn Burgess, Chief Executive of Language is Everything, who is also the President of the Chamber of the Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce, says she is delighted to be working with Mercury, which is based in Priory Park, Hessle.
“We are working closely with Mercury in our preparations for Business Week, Hull’s week long celebration of business which we are sponsoring,” said Carolyn.
“As the agency behind Business Week and the Yorkshire International Business Convention, Mercury was the ideal communications partner for us. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone at Mercury the best of luck in their first year in business, I firmly believe that their experienced team is destined for success.”
Language is Everything is hosting its own event as part of Business Week on Thursday, June 4 in association with Goole College and the Humber Education and Business Partnership.
The event, which will take place at Goole College between 1pm and 3.30pm, focuses on the power of language in the digital age and includes the ultimate language challenge – can you learn a foreign language in 20 minutes? The panel of contestants, from schools, from business and from the media, will find out. The event also features keynote motivational speaker Tim Sanders.
Mercury Design and Marketing Ltd was launched by former Mail reporter and public relations professional Kelly Todd in January. She says the business is going from strength to strength.
“We are delighted to be working with Carolyn and the team at Language is Everything. Our organisations share many synergies in that we both specialise in communicating with people and businesses. I am sure we will enjoy a long and fruitful relationship with the company and will both benefit from working with each other” she said.
“Business Week is a really significant project for us in our first year of trading and I am delighted that we have also been selected to handle the communications on Yorkshire International Business Convention, which will see John Cleese coming to the Bridlington Spa on June 5.”
