25 Feb Mercury beats 86 competitors in race to win three year Lincolnshire Tourism account
An East Yorkshire-based marketing and PR agency has beaten stiff competition from 86 other bidders to become a preferred design supplier for Lincolnshire Tourism.
Mercury Design and Marketing, based in Saxon Way, Priory Park, Hessle, made it through to the initial shortlist of 10 and has now been selected to work on the Lincolnshire Tourism account as part of a three year contract.
Initially, the team at Mercury will be compiling and designing Visit Lincolnshire’s Skegness and Mablethorpe 2010 brochure and, with existing experience of working with Visit Hull and East Yorkshire and other tourism organisations, they are confident they have the right skills for the project.
Kelly Todd, founding director of Mercury, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have won the Visit Lincolnshire account. I have no doubt that the competition was high, but our talented creative team rose to the challenge and I’m delighted with the result.
“Everyone at Mercury is eagerly anticipating having their input into the 2010 brochure for Skegness and Mablethorpe.”
The Skegness and Mablethorpe brochure is one of four guides that Visit Lincolnshire has to offer, and has a vast circulation of 70,000. The coastal guide is the main visitor handbook for the area, promoting short breaks, advertising local attractions and generating revenue for the second largest, economically important, industry in Lincolnshire – tourism.
Paul Burnett, Mercury Design and Marketing’s Studio Manager, has extensive experience of developing creative for the tourism industry and will lead on the project.
