03 Feb Marketing agency’s digital division really takes off
A nationally-acclaimed marketing and communications agency, which operates from headquarters in East Yorkshire, has expanded its digital division.
Mercury Design and Marketing – which has offices in Hull, Leeds and London – says its team has designed and developed more websites in the last year than ever before.
The award-winning firm worked with more than 100 clients on their Digital campaigns in 2013, which includes the development of their new websites and associated Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) campaigns.
Directors say the high demand for these services has seen Mercury’s business model adapted accordingly and is indeed shaping how the company goes about its recruitment strategy in terms of developing a specialist skills base.
Andrew Acum, Mercury’s marketing director, says demand for these services has dramatically increased and it’s a real sign of the times in terms of businesses becoming more aware of their online presence.
“Our clients are placing greater emphasis on their online presence than ever before. Every piece of work we do or campaign we implement has a digital element to it and ensuring we have the resources in place to meet demand is key,” said Andrew. “We have an ambitious recruitment plan in place as part of this year’s business plan, which includes the recruitment of four new Digital specialists.
“Clients recognise that the e-media work we do for them is their shop window to the world. The feedback we are getting is that they find the SEO of their websites is as important today as the role of a sales executive knocking on customers’ doors was previously.”
Mercury’s digital division designs and develops websites, devises and delivers SEO and e-marketing campaigns , as well as offering video production services, electronic presentations, digital newsletters, and photography.
