Opening of new cafe bar is a great success

Mercury Design and Marketing successfully organised the recent VIP opening of The Townhouse café bar in Priory Park West, Hessle

Over 60 distinguished delegates from local businesses attended the stylish celebration, which saw them being greeted with champagne and strawberries on arrival. Meanwhile, the venue’s head chef served up a selection of fabulous canapés for the occasion, enabling people to sample tasters from the menu.

Acclaimed local musician Jess Bannister set the mood for the evening by keeping guests entertained with an acoustic set, whilst owner of The Townhouse Kevin Allison teamed up with The Journal editor Roy Woodcock, to officially cut the ribbon on the kitchen with a pair of giant scissors, announcing the venue officially open. The Journal’s photographer also attended to capture the evening for the publication’s Journal Diary.

Kelly Todd, director at Mercury Design & Marketing, said: “We planned the event from start to finish, from devising the invitee list, sending out the invitations and managing the guest list through to planning the schedule for the evening and managing the event on the night itself. It goes without saying that everyone had a really lovely evening.

“The event came on the back of some other really fantastic work that we have done for The Townhouse since it opened its doors, including the development of the venue’s brand, menu designs and marketing campaigns.“

Kevin Allison, owner of The Townhouse, said: “The team at Mercury did a fantastic job from start to finish, I didn’t have to worry about anything – they just got on with it and planned the whole event, keeping me updated with different options along the way. They were very good at ensuring the right guests attended because of how well connected they are with business people in the area.”
