Mercury team runs the Jane Tomlinson 10K for the second year running

Windy and cold conditions didn’t deter the team at Mercury when we ran the Jane Tomlinson 10k in Hull on Sunday, May 15th.

We took to the streets of Hull along with thousands of other runners, to take part in the Run for All, an event for all abilities. Setting off from The Guildhall on Alfred Gelder Street at 9am, we were all set to run, and in some cases “shuffle”, around the 10k route. The team participated in the Run for All, as part of our continued focus to raise money for charities such as Cancer Research, which through research, wholly funded by donations and support, endeavours to find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.

Kelly Todd, founding director of Mercury, said: “After enjoying the event last year we were eager to get involved again to raise money for such a worthwhile cause. Cancer is an illness which has the ability to affect everyone’s lives in many different ways. Participating in the Jane Tomlinson 10k is a good opportunity for us to give something back, whilst at the same time allowing us to draw inspiration from something which keeps you fit and healthy. We would like to thank everyone for their generous donations to such a fantastic cause.”
