Mercury appointed to manage marketing and PR for the YIBC

Mercury will work closely with the Humber Economic Partnership, who manage the event, along with the week’s founder Paul Sewell and the Yorkshire International Business Convention, to further raise the profile of this prestigious week.

Business Week 2009 celebrates and promotes business in the Humber. Now in its fifth year, the week is positioned as the country’s biggest and best week-long programme of events aimed at the business community.

Business Week 2009 will be unique in its exciting and thrilling mix of high profile speakers, specialist events, seminars, exhibitions, networking and business development opportunities.

Mercury’s Account Director, Kelly Todd, said: “We are delighted to be able to play a major supporting role in ensuring that Humber Business Week 2009 is a success and that its profile is raised even higher than it has been in previous years. Having attended Business Week I am thrilled that the Mercury team will have such a hands-on role. We are confident that we have the skills and expertise to ensure that Business Week makes a huge impression, on a national level, in 2009.”

Last year’s Business Week involved 20 seminars, talks and workshops; 51 speakers; 200 businesses were involved and 6,000 business delegates took part in proceedings. Humber Business Week 2009 will be even bigger and will involve businesses and organisations from Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.
